Claude Cooper was well-known as the best mechanic in Canadian County. As a way to expand his horizons, Claude bought the Yukon Oldsmobile dealership from the local funeral home director (who had been performing funerals and selling cars out of the same building!) and began his career in the automotive sales business.

After Claude suffered a heat stroke while repairing a customer's vehicle in the hot Oklahoma sun, his son, Jackie Cooper, took over the dealership. Later, 21-year-old Jackie was approved to be the official Oldsmobile dealer for Yukon, becoming the youngest new car dealer ever recognized by a major automotive company. Now, after years of successful operation, the Cooper Auto Group is in the hands of Jackie's son, Joe Cooper.

Many things have changed for the Cooper family over the years, but one thing hasn't changed: our dedication to upholding the values exemplified by Claude and Jackie. These values are simple: be honest, value relationships, earn and keep the trust of our customers, treat people like we want to be treated and be easy to do business with. We're human, and we make mistakes, but we promise to always make it right for our customers.
